The story

From a first practice to the world stage — in fourteen months.

Delinda Lottering picked up an indoor cricket bat for the first time fourteen months ago. This September, she'll wear the green and gold against the best U15 girls on the planet — alongside eleven teammates who've each fought for the same shirt.

This is the kind of story South African sport produces over and over again. Talent finds its way through the cracks. Coaches give up evenings. Parents drive across provinces. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, a kid earns a Protea cap.

Now they just need to get to the floor.

"These athletes have already proven themselves. Now comes the next challenge — funding their journey." — Indoor Cricket South Africa

FAQ

Straight answers.

If you have a question we haven't covered here, drop us a message and we'll come back to you within 24 hours.

Where exactly does my donation go? +
100% of donations go to the team's tournament costs — kit, travel, accommodation, fees, coaching and physio. Funds are received into a dedicated account managed by Luano Technologies CC (VAT 4210205615) on behalf of the team management committee. The draw prize is funded separately by a sponsor, so no donor money is used for the prize.
How does the R5,000 fuel voucher draw work? +
Every R100 donated earns one entry into a draw for a R5,000 fuel voucher, sponsored by Holistic Life Institute (Pretoria). The draw takes place on Friday 18 September 2026 and will be conducted in the presence of an independent witness, with the result recorded and posted to our social channels. The winner will be contacted by phone and announced publicly within 48 hours. The prize is funded by the sponsor, separately from donor funds, so 100% of donations reach the team.
Can I enter the draw without donating? +
Yes. No purchase is necessary to enter. To request a free entry, email your full name, surname, email address and mobile number to [email protected] with the subject "Free Draw Entry". Each person may submit one free entry per calendar week. Free entries have exactly the same chance of winning as paid entries. See the full draw terms and conditions for details.
Is the team selection official? +
Yes. The squad was selected through official Indoor Cricket South Africa (ICSA) national trials. The WICF Junior World Series 2026 is sanctioned by the World Indoor Cricket Federation and the South African Indoor Cricket Federation (SAICF).
Can I donate from outside South Africa? +
Yes. The donation form accepts international Visa and Mastercard payments through Paystack, alongside local South African cards. International cards are charged in South African Rand (ZAR) and your bank converts to your home currency at its prevailing rate. If a card is declined, please check that online/international payments are enabled on it, then try again.
Can I get a section 18A tax receipt? +
Not at this stage. Donations are made to support the team's costs and are processed through Luano Technologies CC — they are not tax-deductible. If you require an invoice for your records, contact us and we'll issue one.
Can my business become a sponsor? +
Absolutely. We have five sponsorship tiers from R5,000 to R100,000+ with concrete brand visibility — logo on this page, on the team kit bag, social media features, and ground-side branding during the tournament. See the full prospectus at roadtoworldssa.co.za/sponsors or email [email protected].
